MNRE Eases Solar Park Approval Process

-MNRE exempts CPSUs/JVs from state-level vetting of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and related charges.

-Applications for solar/renewable parks by CPSUs/JVs now only at the central level via SECI/IREDA and MNRE.

-CPSUs/JVs must submit approvals for infrastructure, O&M, land lease charges, and ROE directly to MNRE.

-Charges must align with MNRE guidelines issued on November 12, 2021.

-State government PSUs still need state department approval for DPRs and related charges.
